Skype is an excellent program for voice and video communication, text correspondence. And users of the Debian operating system would also like to work with this wonderful application.
The most important thing in this process is to get the distribution package of the program in any way. For example, the most boring and banal way to download from the official site. :) The Wheezy version is successfully installed on Jessie.
Then install Skype (versions may vary):
# dpkg -i skype-debian_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb
and necessary dependencies
# apt-get -f install
Amd64 architecture
Skype for 64-bit systems does not exist. Therefore, before installing we add support for the i386 architecture on our x86-64 system:
# dpkg - addd-architecture i386 # aptitude update
And then install Skype using the method described above.
How do you rate the article?
Much more required libraries may not be installed. Why don't you recommend gdebi-core?
And why are they needed? This installation option works for me without all these dependencies, given that the system is installed from scratch.
I have such a problem. When demonstrating the entire screen, everything hangs except the cursor and sound.
This method does not work.
I worked the weight, can confuse that
dpkg -i skype-debian_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb - swears, but apt-get -f install hits everything you need, including the undelivered skype
